Welcome to Bushbury Nursery School, a maintained nursery school that offers a warm and nurturing environment for children from birth to 4 years old. Our Services

Our nursery school offers a range of services, including:

  • 90 nursery places for children from the term after their third birthday
  • 30-hour places for eligible working parents
  • 24 'Terrific for Two's' places for eligible children from the term after their second birthday
  • SEND resource base with 10 part-time places for children with additional needs

The majority of reviews for this nursery are overwhelmingly negative. Several reviewers have expressed their disappointment and frustration with the nursery's payment policies, citing long delays and lack of reliability. Additionally, concerns have been raised about the quality of care provided, with allegations of unprofessional behaviour towards children and neglect of basic needs such as changing soiled nappies.

Unacceptable Treatment of Children

One reviewer, Gabriel Byrne, was particularly disturbed by the way his child was treated by the nursery staff. He reported that his child was restrained without permission during a school trip, resulting in the child becoming emotional and distressed. This incident has left a lasting impression on the reviewer and he will not be sending his child back to the nursery.

Lack of Care and Overburdened Staff

Harriet Heeney's review highlights the lack of care and attention provided by the nursery staff. She recounts a situation where her child was phoned to say they had soiled themselves, but when she arrived to change him, she found him sitting down and playing with toys, seemingly unharmed. She also notes that the nursery would not allow her to send her child in lace-up shoes, citing it as too difficult for the staff to manage.
