Knockloughrim Primary School has been dedicated to nurturing young minds since its establishment in a tranquil rural setting near Magherafelt, Northern Ireland. Our school community, serving 119 pupils drawn from a 10-mile radius, combines modern educational practices with a strong Christian ethos. With purpose-built classrooms, extensive playing fields, and a dedicated forest area, we provide a stimulating environment for learning and personal growth. Our staff, recognised for outstanding teaching and pastoral care, prioritise individual development alongside academic achievement. The school's recent ETI inspection affirmed our status as a 'Very Good School' with 'Excellent Management'. We actively engage parents in their children's education, operating a Windmill Club for extended care and offering tax-efficient payment options. Our curriculum integrates practical learning through initiatives like the school vegetable garden, fostering both environmental awareness and hands-on experience. The leadership team, including Principal Mr Eddy Baird, maintains rigorous standards in safeguarding and child welfare. Community partnerships enhance our support structures, ensuring comprehensive pastoral care for all pupils. This commitment to holistic education has driven our enrolment growth from 49 pupils in 2003 to our current capacity.
