*- Furniture Restoration & Repair*

Whether it's a small job such as a chair leg that needs re-gluing or a full constructional re-build of a large wardrobe or chest of drawers, our skilled artisans can undertake all restoration and repair work using both traditional and modern methods and materials. We maintain a large stock of old furniture for salvaging suitable parts and reclaimed wood for authentic repairs, and our extensive collection of antique and modern brass furniture fittings allows us to source long discontinued and handmade Georgian and Victorian period brass-ware.

In addition, we collaborate with local upholstery firms, enabling us to work hand in hand on upholstery restoration projects that require relevant repairs and french polishing work prior to re-upholstery and recovering.

• Supplying and fitting of replacement desk leathers in both hide and leather skiver

At H.C. Restorations, we pride ourselves on using only the finest French Polishes and Lacquers to provide an excellent service and first-class finish to your furniture. Our highly experienced team is well-versed in carrying out sympathetic re-polishing work to all antique furniture whilst retaining as much of the original patination as possible. We also carry out restoration work to modern and reproduction furniture using modern cellulose and water-based spray lacquers, endeavouring to restore these items as close to "as new" condition where possible.

Our french polishing and lacquering services include, but are not limited to:
