Course Conditions
The condition of the course is a mixed bag, with some reviewers praising its good condition, while others mention issues with the rough and temporary greens. Stuart Edwards and Hawmouse both rated the course 4 stars, with Hawmouse noting that it's "challenging in parts but very enjoyable". However, Conner Pearce felt that the course was overpriced, citing issues with the temporary greens, tee boxes, and bobbly greens.
Driving Range
The driving range at Welton Manor has received negative reviews, with Andy Taverner stating that it's "in need of some investment & TLC". James Westminister's review was particularly scathing, describing the range as a "place of respite" that's been "ripped to shreds". The reviewer also complained about the lack of drivers allowed, citing concerns about hitting someone on the 2nd Tee.
Food and Beverage
While some reviewers praised the food at Stokes Welton Cafe, which is located nearby, there are no reviews specifically mentioning the food or drink at Welton Manor itself.
Atmosphere
James Westminister's review is overwhelmingly negative, describing the owner as "tyrannical" and the atmosphere as "toxic". The reviewer felt disrespected and unwelcome, and implies that the owner's behavior is a major turning point for potential customers. In contrast, many other reviewers report a positive atmosphere, with Hawmouse and Phil Malin mentioning the friendliness of the club.
Value for Money
Conner Pearce felt that the course was overpriced, especially compared to other courses in the area. However, Steve Corcoran praised the course's reasonable prices.
