Falconwood Preschool was established approximately 25 years ago and was initially based above the Co-Op at The Green in Falconwood. Following a period of temporary management, I, Debbie Martin, took over the setting in May 2014 and subsequently purchased it. With 16 years of experience in the childcare sector, I have worked as a volunteer, gained my NVQ3 in Childcare Learning and Development, and spent 12 years at another preschool.
As the owner and manager of Falconwood Preschool, I am proud to say that we are governed by Ofsted and adhere to the values outlined in the Early Years Framework. Our aim is to create an nurturing environment where children can thrive, develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually at their own pace. We also strive to promote diversity, inclusivity, and strong partnerships with parents through various means, including Tapestry (online learning journey), newsletters, and a closed Facebook group.

Our Services
At Falconwood Preschool, we offer a range of activities and learning opportunities designed to develop children's emotional, physical, social, and intellectual skills. These activities are not only fun but also catered to each child's unique needs. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our children are confident, resilient, capable, and self-assured before transitioning to Reception.
Events and Activities
We regularly organize various events and activities at our preschool, including Diwali celebrations, zoo days, horse riding, gardening, and pizza making. These events provide a unique opportunity for our children to learn and develop new skills in a fun and engaging way.

I was very nervous about sending my youngest to a preschool after a bad experience with my older child but within a week I knew I had made the right choice in picking Falconwood. I felt so relaxed in leaving him it felt like I was leaving him with family. I never thought I'd feel that way with a preschool but Debbie and her team are amazing at what they do. "'My son Ralph has been attending the Falconwood preschool since he was 2 years old. I was nervous about Ralph starting in a preschool environment as he had previously only been left with family members, however all my worries were taken away when I met the staff, I knew straight away that I would be leaving Ralph in safe and caring hands and the facilities were really great. All members of staff are so kind and welcoming and Ralph has really thrived since attending the preschool. I really enjoy logging on and seeing the regular updates of what Ralph has been up to via the Tapestry website. Ralph has made many friends at the school and only ever moans when it is term-time and he wants to go back to school, so that in its own speaks for itself! Ralph can write his own name (aged 4) and has met all the milestones well above average.
