Manchester Student Homes is a free, university-run housing service for students, providing a comprehensive platform for students to find their perfect student home online. Our service is jointly funded by The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, with partnerships with other universities and institutions. Our mission is to provide a student-focused service, offering housing and community-related information and guidance to students.
Our Services
Our platform allows students to search for student houses and flats to let in Manchester, with a wide range of options to suit different needs and budgets. We also provide free, independent housing advice, and our landlord accreditation scheme ensures that all landlords are approved by us, giving students peace of mind when searching for accommodation.
Student Accommodation Search
Our property search feature allows students to find their perfect student home online, with options to filter by property type, location, contract type, and more. We also provide a hotlist feature, which allows students to save their favorite properties and contact landlords directly to arrange viewings.
Landlord Accreditation
Our landlord accreditation scheme is a voluntary scheme for landlords and managing agents of student properties in Manchester and Salford. The scheme aims to improve the quality of student accommodation in the private sector, and we work closely with our accredited landlords to ensure that they meet our Code of Standards.
Housing Advice
Our team provides free, independent housing advice to students, including guidance on property searches, housing inspections, and contract checking. We also offer a community-focused service, providing information and guidance on all aspects of community living.
Community Involvement
We work closely with partnership agencies, such as Greater Manchester Police and Manchester City Council, to support students living in off-campus communities. Our Good Neighbours Team delivers educational awareness programs, promoting responsible behavior and community cohesion.
