Regent Park Golf Course is a renowned golfing destination that has been in operation for over 90 years. With a rich legacy, our golf course has been enjoyed by golfers of all levels since it first opened to the public in 1932. While the exact design credentials of James Braid are uncertain, our course expertly challenges golfers of all abilities with its strategically planned layout.
As an integral part of the Bolton community, our golf course has played host to numerous professional golfers, including Dennis Durnian, Derrick Cooper, and Andrew 'chubby' Chandler. Throughout its history, the golf course has remained incredibly popular with local golfers, who have shared stories of arriving at the crack of dawn to secure a tee time for the following day.
In 2002, Regent Park Golf Course Ltd took over the course, with the goal of investing in facilities and maintaining the 'pay and play' model. Accessibility for local people was at the heart of the plan. The first major investment was the 20-bay floodlit driving range, which opened in 2003. The clubhouse was also refurbished and extended, and changing facilities were improved. More recently, the driving range was revamped to include Toptracer technology, offering world-class swing analysis and VR games and challenges.
Our Facilities
Our golf course is the heart of Regent Park Golf Centre, but we're not just about golf. Our Clubhouse, rebranded as No19, is a stunning setting for weddings, birthdays, and other functions, as well as a prime spot for post-golf refreshments. We're committed to sharing our passion for golf with the widest possible audience. Our plans for the future include developing an adventure golf course for the young and old, as well as further enhancements to No19. These additions will make Regent Park Golf Centre an even more enticing destination for the whole family.
