Hoole Bank Day Nursery is a leading childcare provider located in the beautiful city of Chester. Our nursery is situated on the edge of Hoole, just a short drive from major road links including the M53 and M56. We offer all-inclusive childcare for children aged 0 - 5 years old, and we are open 7.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year. Our nursery building is a converted house, designed to offer a homely and welcoming environment for children. Set in over an acre of land, Hoole Bank Day Nursery provides everything your child needs to develop in a naturally warm and stimulating environment.

Baby Room
Our Baby Room is for our youngest of children from 0 up to around 20 months old. With one member of staff for every three babies, they are given opportunities to learn whilst their individual needs are catered for. The baby room provides a secure, friendly environment with age-appropriate equipment and activities. Our baby room plays an emphasis on providing a "home from home" feel to provide babies with the smoothest of transitions from home life to nursery. At such a young age, babies learn through exploring each of their senses, therefore whilst at nursery, babies are introduced to a wide range of sensory play. These activities are focused on touch, texture, sound, hearing, taste and smell. Babies will also engage in other activities such as storytime, songtime and early games such as peak-a-boo. It is also important that babies are able to learn outdoors and with our very own 'baby garden' that leads directly off the room, it is guaranteed that age-appropriate toys and activities are on offer to the babies.
Toddler Room
Once your child is steady on their feet, they will make the move to the Toddler room. Here we ensure that there is one adult for every three children under two and one adult for every four children between two to three years. The layout of the room encourages children to be independent and explore for themselves. Our toddler room is designed to meet the needs of active toddlers who are learning to walk and talk. We provide a wide range of activities that are designed to support their physical, emotional and cognitive development. These activities include messy play, sensory play, construction play, role-play, and physical play.
Pre-school Room
Our pre-school room is designed for children aged three to five years old. We aim to prepare children for the transition to school by providing a stimulating and challenging environment that encourages them to develop their skills and knowledge. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which focuses on seven areas of learning: communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
Outdoor Area
Our nursery benefits from six extensive outdoor play areas. Our six individual areas include a digging area, climbing area, soft play area, a garden and a covered outdoor area, climbing area and a garden solely for babies. We also have our very own vegetable plot and fruit trees where we encourage children to grow their own vegetables and pick their own fruit. We invest time in activities such as den building, treasure hunts, obstacle courses and digging for worms, to mention just a few!

At Hoole Bank Day Nursery, we pride ourselves in having a fantastic nursery team. Each member of staff has been carefully selected for their enthusiasm and passion for childcare. We believe it is essential that staff keep up to date with the curriculum and therefore staff attend regular, appropriate training courses to ensure that children at Hoole Bank are continuously receiving the best care possible. In addition to having the right staff, we also have a very high retention rate with very few staff leaving the company. All staff are renowned for their full commitment to the children.
