Food Quality and Options
The reviews highlight a mixed bag of experiences when it comes to the food quality and options at Balti Bazaar. Some reviewers, such as Lewis Edwards and Tammy Bullock, raved about the amazing food, with the former praising the mint and chilli dips and the latter enjoying the best tandoori chicken they've ever had. Gez Bull also had a great experience, finding the food to be great value for money.
On the other hand, some reviewers were disappointed with their meals. Mo Jo had a horrible experience with their takeaway, finding bits of vegetables in the biryani sauce and meat in their vegetable samosa. Daniel Godridge found the food to be spicy but bland, with burnt garlic and hard lamb. Lynda Frost was also disappointed, finding the food to be subpar during their second visit, with crispy fried paneer being overcooked and the lamb main course being chewy.
Service and Atmosphere
The service and atmosphere at Balti Bazaar also received mixed reviews. Some reviewers, such as Peter Clarkson and The Curryholic, found the service to be reasonably good, with friendly and attentive staff. Kieran Clarke praised the spot-on service, which was very helpful and fast. Tim Shepherd and Gez Bull also had positive experiences with the service.
However, some reviewers were let down by the service and atmosphere. Lynda Frost found the waiter to be indifferent and the service to be generally sloppy. Peter Clarkson found the atmosphere to be mediocre, while Lynda Frost was disappointed by the lack of freshness in the poppadoms and the poor presentation of the chutney tray.
