About Us
London Road Nursery is a well-established Ofsted-registered nursery, providing high-quality childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. We have been serving the local community for over 25 years, and our dedicated team of experienced and qualified professionals are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the growth and development of our children.
Our Facilities
Our nursery is a large open-plan setting, divided into different rooms to cater to the varying needs of our children. Our facilities include a baby room for children from 6 months to 2 years old, a toddler room for children from 2 to 3 years old, and a preschool room for children from 3 to 5 years old. Each room is designed to meet the specific needs of our children, with a focus on providing a stimulating and engaging environment that encourages learning and exploration.
Our Approach
At London Road Nursery, we believe in providing a stimulating, stable, educational, fun, caring, and risk-taking environment that supports the development of our children. We achieve this through our comprehensive curriculum, which is designed to promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of our children. Programs and Services
Our programs and services are designed to meet the unique needs of our children, from our youngest babies to our oldest preschoolers. Our programs include:
- Free Childcare: We offer up to 30 hours of free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds and 15 hours of free childcare for 2 to 4 year olds. Call us to find out if you are eligible.
- National Educational Grant: We offer the National Educational Grant for 2, 3, and 4 year olds.
- Private Funding: We also offer private funding options for parents who require additional support.
- Nursery Vouchers: We accept nursery vouchers for further assistance.
Our Team
Our team of experienced and qualified professionals are passionate about providing exceptional childcare and education to our children. Our staff are trained to provide individualized support and care to each child, and we maintain a ratio of qualified staff to children to ensure that every child receives the attention and support they need.

Our Key Person System
Our key person system is an essential part of our approach to childcare. Each child is allocated a key person who will work closely with the child and their parents to ensure that their individual needs are met and their learning and development are supported. Our key persons build portfolios for each child to track their development and provide regular updates to parents.
Our Outdoor Areas
Our outdoor areas are designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment that encourages children to explore and play. We have an all-weather surface that allows children to enjoy outdoor activities all year round. Our outdoor areas are well-equipped with a range of equipment and resources to support learning and exploration.
