Our History
Founded in 1892, Cambuslang Golf Club has a rich history that dates back over a century. From its humble beginnings to the esteemed club it is today, Cambuslang Golf Club has played a significant role in the history of golf in Scotland. Our Club has had the privilege of having not one but two ex-Scottish champions amongst our members, our late President John S. Montgomerie who won at Royal Aberdeen in 1957 and Craig Everett who won at Gullane in 1990.
Our Course
Located just south-east of Glasgow, Cambuslang Golf Club offers a pleasant golfing experience in gently rolling, tree-lined surroundings with the River Clyde flowing close by the northern boundary of the club. Our course is a feature-packed, inland nine-hole course that is located close to most transport routes in the south eastern suburbs of Glasgow. Under 5 minutes from junction 2A of the new M74 motorway, our course is easily accessible and is a must-visit for any golf enthusiast.
Visitors
Visiting parties are welcome at Cambuslang Golf Club by advance arrangement. Our course is a challenging 5,942-yard, par 70, with a SSS of 69. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced golfer, our course will test your skills and provide you with a memorable golfing experience. We offer green fees of 20 for winter rates and 30 for summer rates, with reductions available for visiting parties.
Membership
At Cambuslang Golf Club, we offer a range of membership categories, all of which are available to both men and women. Our Full Ordinary membership is 890 per annum, including a 20 Bar levy credit, with an Entry Fee of 500. Our Ordinary Associate membership is 740 per annum, including a 20 Bar levy credit, without the joining fee. We also offer Limited Associate membership, available to those aged 30 or under, at a reduced rate.
Our Junior Section is a thriving and exciting part of our Club, accommodating boys and girls aged up to 18. Our Junior and Juvenile membership rates are very competitive, with prices starting from just 60 per year. We also offer an Intermediate membership category for those aged 18-29.
Facilities
Our Clubhouse is a warm and welcoming place to relax and socialise after your round. We have a fully licensed bar and a range of catering options available. Our facilities are also available for hire for private functions and events.
History of the Club
Our Club has a rich and fascinating history, dating back to 1892. In March of that year, a meeting was held at the Central Halls in Cambuslang, where it was agreed to form a Golf Club to be called Cambuslang Golf Club. Mr A.G.Barns Graham was elected President, Mr Charles Christie, Captain, and Mr Robert Duncan, Secretary and Treasurer. Our Club has continued to thrive and grow over the years, with many notable events and achievements along the way.
