Transforming lives through the power of music and the arts

At Shapeshifter Productions, we believe in the transformative power of music and the arts to enhance wellbeing, self-esteem, and reduce isolation. Our charity has been dedicated to bringing high-quality participatory music to communities across London and beyond since 2007. Our team of experienced artists, musicians, and producers work tirelessly to create innovative projects that promote social cohesion, confidence, and mental health.

Our Vision

Our vision is to reach out and touch the hearts of children and adults of all ages and cultures through delivering original, dynamic combined arts productions and projects. We want to inspire communities to not only support performances but to roll their sleeves up and get involved, no matter what their age. Through our participatory music and storytelling experiences, we aim to actively engage communities in activities that enhance confidence and self-esteem.

Our Goals

Our goal is to create and produce original, high-quality work that is easily accessible to the public. We favour participatory music productions, which have included choral and instrumental group activities for all ages, providing opportunities to learn or re-visit musical skills. We are currently focusing on interactive singing sessions for the elderly that improve wellbeing, confidence, and mental health while reducing isolation.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, including:

  • Interactive singing sessions for the elderly to improve wellbeing, confidence, and mental health while reducing isolation
  • Participatory music productions and projects that engage communities and promote social cohesion
  • Original, dynamic combined arts productions and projects that inspire confidence and self-esteem
  • Innovative projects that promote the benefits of participatory music and multi-arts performance

What People Say About Us

"I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed the visit last week. When I walked into the home, all the residents were either sleeping in their chairs or just sitting and not talking to each other. Once the singing started, it was a transformation - some were even dancing. What a fantastic job Alison, Pete, and Neil do - and I imagine it is not always an easy audience, but what a difference it makes to those in the homes." - The Roger De Haan Charitable Trust Officer
