Caring for your pet, as if they were our own
Who We Are
At Beechwood Vets, we have been caring for the pets of Leeds since 1958, with a team of dedicated professionals who have over 200 years of experience between them. Our veterinary team is committed to delivering top-quality service, with facilities in Seacroft, Beeston, Chapel Allerton, Garforth, and Headingley, ensuring that you will find a trustworthy local Beechwood veterinary practice in your community. Many of our dedicated team have treated generations of family pets, and we are proud to have cared for each as though they were our own pet, with compassion and kindness.
Our History
Beechwood Vets first came to Leeds when Roger Bouvet and Walter Butterfield established a practice in Crossgates in 1958, dealing with both farms and small animals. As our reputation grew, so did our client base. We opened a site on Harehills Lane, which in 1991 was moved to our Chapel Allerton clinic, followed by our Beeston Branch in 1975. In 1987 our Garforth site was added to the group, at around the same time that we began to concentrate solely on the care of pets and companion animals. In May 2022 we opened a site at Temple House in Seacroft, which includes seven consult rooms, separate dog and cat waiting areas and wards, three theatres, a dedicated dental theatre and x-ray and ultrasound suites. In August 2023 we added our site in Headingley to the Beechwood group and are looking forward to welcoming new clients to our family of practices.
