The ideal choice for getting the most out of your trip to London

The Harlingford is an independent, family-run hotel that has been in the same family for over 50 years. Our hotel is situated on a beautiful Georgian crescent in the heart of historic Bloomsbury, in the very center of London. This stunning 200-year-old building has been carefully restored to maintain its original charm while providing modern amenities and comfort to its guests.

Our History

The Harlingford has a rich history dating back to 1807 when it was originally built as three separate dwellings by master architect and builder James Burton. Over the years, the hotel has been owned by various individuals, including a Member of Parliament, a retired lieutenant-colonel, a theological tutor, and the famous publisher Andrew Chatto - founder of Chatto & Windus. Today, the hotel remains in the same family, with the Davies family having taken over the hotel in 1960 and ensuring its continued elegance and charm.

Our Location

The Harlingford is conveniently located in the heart of Bloomsbury, within easy walking distance of three tube stations: Russell Square, Euston, and King's Cross / St. Pancras International. The hotel is also accessible by buses in every direction, and major tourist attractions, including museums, galleries, theatres, and restaurants, are within a 15-30 minute walk. Nearby Oxford Street offers some of the best shopping in London.
