Welcome to The Plough, a rustic-smart gastropub nestled in the picturesque village of Coton, just 3 miles from the bustling city of Cambridge. Our gastropub has been serving the local community for over 18th century, and we pride ourselves on offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.

Our History

Founded by Pasquale and Pasquale Benedetto in 2015, The Plough has undergone substantial refurbishments to create a unique and comfortable space for our customers. Our family-owned and operated business has a rich history, and we are proud to be part of the Benedetto Restaurant group, leading the Cambridge dining experience and serving award-winning food since 1972.

Our Concept

The Plough is more than just a pub; it's a destination for anyone looking for a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Our gastropub offers a mix of casual and formal dining areas, a large 80-seated covered terrace, a private room that can seat up to 18 guests, a play area, large garden, and private meadow perfect for private events and special occasions.

Our Cuisine

Our kitchen is headed up by esteemed chef Matthew James, who serves a menu of seasonal dishes and modern classics alongside a changing specials board. Our food is both elegant and comforting, taking quality fresh ingredients from great producers and allowing them to shine. Make sure to try our famous traditional Sunday roast, with lovingly made gravy and fluffy Yorkshire puddings, served throughout the day with all the trimmings.
