Gilliland Martial Arts is a Full-Time Dedicated Martial Arts Academy, offering classes for juniors aged 7-14 years and adults from 15 years old. Our academy is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and challenging environment for our students to learn and grow.

At Gilliland Martial Arts, we believe that martial arts training is not just about physical development, but also about mental growth and personal development. Our program is designed to help students develop their physical abilities, mental toughness, and emotional intelligence. We pride ourselves on providing an atmosphere that promotes personal development through martial arts cross-training, which is effective, fun, and helps students gain greater range of movement, and develop attributes making them more athletic.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services, including classes for juniors and adults, online academy, 1-2-1 coaching, and private/small group sessions. Our classes are taught by Master Instructor Keith Gilliland and his team of instructors, who have dedicated their lives to martial arts training and development.
Our Classes
Our classes are designed to be fun, challenging, and rewarding. We offer Freestyle Kickboxing classes, Jeet Kune Do, Kali, and other martial arts disciplines. Our classes are structured to help students learn self-defence techniques, improve their physical fitness, and develop their mental toughness. We also offer online classes for those who cannot attend our physical location.

Customer Service
Several customers have reported issues with the customer service provided by the academy. Craig Brewster, who left a 1-star review, stated that the customer service was poor and that the owner was openly hostile at times. On the other hand, Melissa Lucas, who left a 5-star review, spoke highly of the customer support and constant avenues of communication that were always available.
Facilities and Quality of Teaching
Some customers have praised the facilities and quality of teaching at the academy. Matt Woodfield, who has been training at the academy for 20 years, stated that the academy provides a full-time, fully-equipped martial arts dojo and that the chief instructor has helped him reach his goals. Darren Swords, who also left a 5-star review, mentioned that the teachers have gone above and beyond to teach and support his son. However, Kunal Dhande, who left a 1-star review, expressed concerns about the quality of teaching and the emphasis on making money.
Contracts and Transparency
Kunal Dhande's review highlighted issues with the contractual terms and lack of transparency from the owner. He mentioned that there are 4-month compulsory payment contracts and that the owner does not explain contractual terms. He also reported difficulty in getting a refund for a product he had not received.
Accusations and Defense
There were accusations of inaccurate reviews and defense of the academy's practices. Matt Woodfield defended the academy and stated that some reviews are unjustified, while Emily Lucas accused the reviewer of being spiteful. The owner also responded to some of the reviews, defending the academy's practices and disputing some of the claims.
