Lazy Daisys is a family-run business that offers three cozy holiday cottages on a working farm on the eastern edge of the Peak District, near Penistone. The accommodation is spacious with outdoor seating areas and with a combined total of 6 bedrooms, it's a great place for families or groups of friends to get together. Our cottages are located on a cattle and sheep farm, where you can experience the beauty of the countryside and enjoy a range of outdoor activities.
Our History
Lazy Daisys opened for business at Easter 2006, transforming a former cowshed, dairy, and milking parlor into three cozy holiday cottages. The Howe family has worked this farm for over 60 years, and we're proud to rear our own cattle and sheep, with most of the meat sold locally through farm shops and local butchers. Our sheep graze on the heather moorland nearby, offering stunning views and fantastic footpaths for walkers.
Our Services
At Lazy Daisys, we offer three holiday cottages, each with its own unique character and charm. Moon Penny Cottage is our largest cottage, sleeping up to 7 people, with a fully fitted kitchen, lounge/dining room, and patio area. Daisy Cottage is a ground-floor cottage with widened doorways, making it perfect for wheelchair users. Michaelmas Cottage features a fully fitted kitchen/dining room and a spacious lounge. All cottages have TV/DVD, CD player, and private parking. We also offer laundry facilities, a barbecue, and wireless internet.
Our Location
We're situated near Penistone, a small market town with shops, a weekly market, and a monthly farmer's market. The town also has its own theatre/cinema, swimming pool, and sports center, offering a variety of leisure activities. We're within easy reach of Sheffield, Manchester, Huddersfield, and Barnsley, yet surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Peak District.
