The Forest CE Federation is a vibrant and forward-thinking family of five small, rural primary schools located in the picturesque countryside surrounding Towcester. Our federation comprises of Whittlebury CE Primary School, Tiffield VA Primary School, Stoke Bruerne CE Primary School, Gayton CE Primary School, and our newest addition, Yardley Gobion CE Primary School.
In 2012, Whittlebury CE Primary School, Tiffield VA Primary School, and Stoke Bruerne CE Primary School formed the first federation of three schools in Northamptonshire, with Gayton CE Primary School joining in 2016. We are proud to announce that Yardley Gobion CE Primary School became the latest addition to our federation in January 2023. Our federation has paved the way for an innovative leadership and governance model for small schools, which has been replicated numerous times within the county.
All schools within our federation have been rated "Good" by Ofsted in 2013, with outstanding behaviour. Our schools foster a distinctive Christian vision and a set of core Christian values that permeate all aspects of school life. We believe in providing a rich and quality learning experience for all our children, by combining our individual strengths, experiences, and expertise.
Our Curriculum and Services

We provide a range of opportunities for our pupils to learn beyond the classroom, including Forest Schools, which promote personal development, confidence-building, and an appreciation for the natural world.
Our curriculum is designed with the intent, implementation, and impact in mind. We strive to ensure that our curriculum is engaging, relevant, and provides our pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the modern world. Our curriculum is underpinned by our commitment to promoting child wellbeing and mental health, and we provide a range of support and interventions for pupils who may need additional support.
In addition to our core curriculum, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities and clubs, including sports, music, drama, and art. We believe that these activities enrich the learning experience of our pupils and provide opportunities for pupils to develop their talents and skills outside of the classroom.
