Priding ourselves on quality, precision, and customer service

Pagoda Nursery is a community-driven childcare setting that has been a pillar of the community in Liverpool for many years. The nursery was initially managed by the Liverpool City Council and operated for 26 years at the Pagoda Chinese Youth Community Centre, just near the heart of Chinatown. However, due to changes in the council's management and the introduction of National Surestart programmes, the day nurseries managed by the council were closed down.

Recognising the need for a nursery service in the area, several parents formed the Liverpool Chinese Community Foundation (LCCF) Community Interest Company, a non-profit organisation, to negotiate terms with the City Council to reopen the nursery. The Pagoda Nursery was finally re-opened in April 2012 and is now registered with OFSTED to continue its operation.

Pagoda Nursery is a unique and intimate setting that takes a maximum of 19 children from 0-5 years. We pride ourselves on our open-door policy and encourage parents to call or visit the nursery at any time. Our nursery operates a key person system, where each child has a designated key person who provides them with a sense of security and well-being. Each child has a home/nursery progress book, which is completed daily, and an individual learning and development journal.

At Pagoda Nursery, we understand the importance of communication and cultural needs for our multi-lingual community. Our staff are experienced in communicating with those for whom English is an additional language and currently speak English, Italian, Turkish, and Russian. We encourage a lot of multi-cultural activities and provide a variety of cultural experiences that reflect the diverse community we serve.
