Innovative Manufacturing Solutions for a Sustainable Future
At Jenks & Cattell Engineering, we are proud to be one of the longest established metal stamping, laser fabrication, and welding companies in the UK. With a rich history dating back to 1886, we have built a reputation for consistently producing high-quality general and technical metal pressing, welded assembly, and laser-cut metal parts and fabrications from our 10,000 sqm large UK manufacturing base in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
Our Manufacturing Services
We offer a comprehensive range of manufacturing services, including metal stamping, laser fabrication, mechanical assembly, metal stamping, press tools, electric vehicles, CNC machining, project development, prototyping, surface finishing, and welding. Our state-of-the-art facilities and skilled workforce of over 100 people enable us to provide a complete sheet metal manufacturing service, from laser cutting prototypes for development to production of a complete fabrication or metal assembly, including any surface finishing requirements.
Metal Stamping
Our impressive range of automated progression presses, transfer lines, and single operation presses manufacture cost-effective stamped metal components. We have over 30 presses from 80-1000 tonnes, for mid-high volume sheet metal pressing production. Recent capital investment has welcomed new 250t, 400t, and 750t progression presses to add to our engineering company.
Laser Fabrication
Our laser fabrication area is cost-effective for cutting components of up to 5000 per year and for prototype and development stages. We have two laser machines cutting from 0.8mm-25mm sheet metal, complemented with our brake presses and welding facilities to offer a complete fabricated metal part. Laser fabrication is most effective for low-volume production, with little tooling investment.
Welding
Our West Midlands site offers manual and robotic welding for mechanical and functional metal assemblies. The outstanding welded assembly area and our skilled welding team provide solutions for simple to complex welded assemblies, utilizing our accurate manual (spot, CD, projection, MIG & TIG) and robotic welding services on a wide range of materials including aluminum welding.
CNC Machining
Our 2023 CNC machining center investment brands us amongst the most equipped metalwork companies nationally, offering complete added value assemblies, with in-house operations including milling, countersinking, and chamfering. The CNC machines in our Wolverhampton plant offer standalone machined metal parts of production level volumes and prototype support.
