Tucked away in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, The White Hart Hotel has been a beloved institution for centuries. Founded in 1639, our historic hotel has played host to countless guests who have been drawn to its warmth, charm, and picturesque surroundings.
New Beginnings
In February 2024, the Jackson family took the reins, bringing with them their wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. James Jackson and his partner Hannah Chester will be managing the hotel on a daily basis, ensuring that the traditional warm welcome and exceptional service that The White Hart is renowned for continues.
Refurbishment and Reopening
The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment program, and we anticipate reopening our doors in May 2024. We are excited to unveil a fresh new look, while maintaining the hotel's timeless charm and character. Bookings are now being taken from June 1st, with earlier dates in May becoming available once the reopening date is finalized.
