Since 1928, The Bay Hotel has been a beloved institution in the picturesque fishing village of Coverack, situated on the stunning Lizard peninsula. Our Story

Founded by local farmer William Pengelly Richards, The Bay Hotel has passed through generations of family ownership before being purchased by our current owner in 2015. With a deep-seated connection to the hotel, Caroline Beadle, our General Manager, brings a fresh vision while honoring the hotel's timeless charm. The dramatic flash floods of 2017 necessitated a comprehensive refurbishment, ensuring the hotel's resilience and continued excellence.
