Our History
The Shelley originally began life as a hotel and was converted into a care home in 2005. Over the years, it has developed and built a reputation for being one of the best care homes in the area, if not in the country, with its sophisticated decor and excellence in care. The Shelley has strong links with the local community, which we believe is important to the wellbeing of the residents in their daily lives and their own connection with the local community.
Our Services
We provide various care options from long-term residential care, respite care, and day care. Our facility boasts beautifully maintained gardens, allowing our residents to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings within the tranquil space in the back garden. We also have an annexed summer house which they can use at their leisure. All our bedrooms are ensuite and some come with shower and baths. All rooms are fully furnished to a high standard, and we'd be more than happy for you to furnish your room as you wish.
