Empowering Your Success Through Expert Legal Guidance

Cobden Place is a creative hub located in the heart of Nottingham city centre, nestled in the charming Cobden Chambers courtyard. Our beautiful, sympathetically restored historic lace factory building is home to a thriving community of independent businesses, freelancers, and creatives.

Our History

With a history spanning over 150 years, our building has played host to various businesses and artistic endeavours. From its early days as a lace factory to its use as a photographer's studio, and later as a base for the Nottingham Society of Artists, our building has a rich and varied heritage. In the early 20th century, it was the registered office for Notts County Football Club, and later, in the mid-20th century, it was used as a factory making lace skirts for Marks and Spencer's. Our building has also been home to a horologist and, more recently, to a monthly arts magazine.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a welcoming and inspiring environment where entrepreneurs, freelancers, and creatives can come together to work, collaborate, and grow. We believe that by creating a supportive and inclusive community, we can foster innovation, creativity, and success. Whether you're a start-up, small business, or sole trader, we offer a range of flexible working options to suit your needs.
