Our Story

Derek Kernoghan, our founder, has a lifelong passion for floristry. From a young age, he worked with his parents in their garden center, where he not only sold his own grown flowers but also exhibited in many flower shows across the UK and Ireland. After training as a pastry chef, Derek realized his true calling was in floristry and opened his first florist business, Floral Designs by Derek Kernoghan, in 1988. In 2005, he rebranded and launched dkni The Florist, which has since become a renowned florist in the area.
