We are extremely proud to have achieved RCVS accreditation as a Tier 2 vet nurse training practice, which aids in maintaining standards and progress, and overall improves the service and advice we offer.
Our History
Founded in 1982 by Chris and Pam Hanson, the practice has been family-run for over 30 years. In 2016, Claire Hanson and Adam Wraith took over the practice after working alongside Chris and Pam for over 10 years. We have a team of 5 nurses led by our head nurse Samantha Tomlinson, who has been with the practice for over 20 years. With the combination of experience, continued professional development, and approachability, we hope to offer peace of mind and the best preventative healthcare for you and your pets.
Our Services
Our veterinary clinic offers a range of services, including vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, pet health plans, facilities, pet passports, home visits, and nurse clinics. We also provide 24-hour cover, anaesthesia, insurance, and new client prices. Our state-of-the-art facilities include in-house blood and urine testing, digital x-ray, ECG, ultrasound, dentistry, and surgery.

Our team includes Claire Hanson, Adam Wraith, Ashleigh Wilson, Carris, Chloe, Jo, Megan, Mandy, Alice, Sophie, and Michelle. We are proud to have a team of RCVS-qualified nurses, and our practice manager, Carris, has recently moved into her new role after 10 years in the clinical team.
What Sets Us Apart
We differ from other veterinary practices in several ways. Our nurses are all RCVS qualified or currently training towards the qualification. We are an independent veterinary practice, which allows us the freedom to choose the best treatment for your pet without limitations. We also have visiting specialists, which reduces the need for referral and often reduces the costs involved. Additionally, we perform home visits by arrangement, and we are a RCVS Tier 2 teaching practice, which means we have achieved the highest standard for a small animal practice.
