Our experienced teachers, Terry and Philippa Rolison, have over 30 years of combined teaching experience and are dedicated to helping students achieve their musical goals. We offer individual and group lessons, with flexible scheduling to accommodate learners of all levels, from beginners to advanced players.
Music Lessons
Our music lessons are designed to foster a lifelong appreciation for music, while developing essential skills in theory, reading, and performance. Our curriculum includes classical guitar, acoustic blues, fingerstyle, rock, and pop music. We also provide lessons in piano, keyboard, and music theory, with a focus on ABRSM and RGT exams. Our online lessons utilize Skype or Facetime, allowing students to learn from the comfort of their own homes.
Exam Preparation
At The Guitar & Piano School, we understand the importance of exam preparation. Our teachers guide students through the exam process, offering valuable insights and strategies to ensure success. We offer ABRSM, RGT, and Trinity exam preparation, as well as performance grades in guitar and piano. Our students have achieved exceptional results, with many going on to attend prestigious schools and pursue careers in music.
Our Venue
Our face-to-face lessons take place at The White Room Studios, Hornchurch, Essex, RM11 3TY, providing a modern and well-equipped learning environment. Our online lessons offer the convenience of learning from anywhere, at any time.
Our Teachers
Our teachers, Terry and Philippa Rolison, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our school. Terry, a seasoned musician and teacher, has a 97% pass rate in ABRSM classical guitar and a 100% pass rate in RGT rock and pop guitar. Philippa, with over 30 years of teaching experience, has a 98% pass rate in piano and keyboard. Both teachers are CRB checked, and the school carries Public Liability Insurance.
