Toddler Unit
Our Toddler Unit cares for children from 3 months to 2 years with a 1:3 staff ratio. We follow individual routines for feeding and sleeping while encouraging social development through structured play activities. The unit features three playrooms and outdoor access, with staff working closely with parents to ensure smooth transitions and consistent care that supports each child's unique needs.
Strider Unit
Designed for 2-3 year olds with a 1:4 staff ratio, our Strider Unit focuses on independence and early learning. Children engage in group activities like story time and circle games while developing motor skills through physical play. Staff support toilet training and introduce early literacy/numeracy concepts using the EYFS framework, with dedicated play areas that encourage exploration and social interaction.
Preschool
Our purpose-built Preschool accommodates children from 3 years with a 1:8 staff ratio. The open-plan space features play-based activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum, covering literacy, numeracy, and science. Children develop independence through self-service meals and 'Team Leader' responsibilities, preparing them for school with confidence, social skills, and foundational academic knowledge through structured yet playful learning experiences.
Outdoor Learning
Daily outdoor access includes extensive gardens with mud kitchens, sandpits, climbing equipment, and vegetable patches. Children explore physical challenges, nature, and imaginative play in all weather conditions. The outdoor space extends classroom learning through hands-on experiences with plants, weather observation, and physical development activities that build coordination and resilience in a natural environment.
Special Needs Support
We provide tailored support for children with additional needs through qualified SENCo staff and individualised learning plans. Our inclusive environment features sensory resources, enteral feeding training, and collaboration with external specialists.
