Welcome to Tregathenan House and Cottages, a tranquil retreat nestled in the heart of Cornwall, near Helston. We're Liz and Ian, the proud owners of this little piece of heaven, where we've lived since 2002 with our lovable alpacas, ducks, geese, chickens, border collie, and cats. Our self-catering cottages and period house are set in a beautiful courtyard, surrounded by lush green fields, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing getaway.

Our Story

We're passionate about Cornwall and committed to preserving its unique culture, heritage, and environment. We've achieved the prestigious GTBS Gold Award, and we're dedicated to sustainable tourism. Our cottages sleep from 4 to 6 guests and are individual, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with central heating throughout. Each property has its own private parking, and we offer secure bike storage in our cycle shed.

Our Location

Tregathenan House and Cottages are situated between Coverack Bridges and Crowntown, approximately 3 miles north of the historic market town of Helston. We're easily accessible by car, bus, or train, with nearby railway stations in Redruth and Penzance.

The cottages and barns are well-maintained, clean, and adequately equipped. The decor may not be to every taste, but the owners have put thought into the design. Some cottages have their own wireless router, and the farm is not on a main road, ensuring a peaceful stay.

Farm and Animals

The farm is home to a variety of animals, including alpacas, cats, dogs, geese, ducks, and chickens. While it was not possible to organize a walk with the animals, many guests enjoyed feeding them. The farm is perfect for families with children, who will love the playhouse and interacting with the animals.

Service and Hospitality

The owners, Ian and Liz, are extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive to their guests' needs. They provide a lovely cream tea on arrival, as well as fresh flowers, eggs, and milk. Many guests have praised their helpfulness and warm hospitality.
