Our purpose-built facility in Southampton offers a relaxed atmosphere where individuals can come together to learn, grow, and socialize. We are wheelchair friendly and cater to all mobilities, ensuring everyone feels welcome and included.
Our Story
At Newfields Gardening C.I.C, we pride ourselves on our team's collective experience of over 20 years in horticulture and supporting people to attain their potential. Our founders, Alison and Christine, have a passion for providing a platform where individuals can learn new skills, build confidence, and make friends in a supportive environment. Our friendly and patient approach has earned us a reputation for providing exceptional services that cater to the unique needs of our clients.
Our Services
We offer a range of activities and services designed to promote personal growth, social interaction, and a sense of community. Our facilities include:
- Gardening activities: seed sowing, harvesting, growing plants, mowing, planting flowers/vegetables, weeding, and selling plants
- Arts and crafts: art/craft, garden/indoor games, walks, Wii, films, life skills, bird watching, exercise, dance, painting, photography, and music
- Leisure activities: flexible and friendly atmosphere, wheelchair-friendly facilities, and a comfortable setting for socializing
Our team is dedicated to providing a supportive environment where individuals can explore their interests, build confidence, and develop new skills. We encourage our clients to participate in activities that bring them joy and fulfillment.
Meet Our Team
Our team is led by Alison, a seasoned horticulturist with over 20 years of experience in supporting people to learn new skills. Christine, our Arts and Crafts supervisor, is a hard worker who brings creativity and enthusiasm to our programs. Together, they have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported.
