Our beautifully restored Shepherd's Hut, Rosie's Hut, is perfectly positioned between moor and shore, providing the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside and coastline. Our farm is nestled in the tranquil valley of the River Gara, surrounded by rolling hills and valleys, and is home to a small flock of sheep and a few pretty hens.

Our Services

We provide excellent accommodation in Rosie's Hut, which is fully equipped with a king-sized bed, kitchen area, and bathroom. The hut also features a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Our guests can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the valley of the River Gara from the comfort of their own private hot tub. We also offer a range of facilities, including a barbecue and fire pit, making it the ideal spot for a romantic getaway or a relaxing break.

History of Lower Collaton Farm

The history of Lower Collaton Farm dates back to before the Norman Conquest, when it was owned by the mother of King Harold II of England. In the 17th century, the value of Collaton was put at just 50. Today, our farm is a small working sheep farm, surrounded by rolling hills and valleys, and is home to a small flock of sheep and a few pretty hens.

Things to Do

Lower Collaton Farm is ideally placed for exploring the local area, with Woodlands Adventure Park and Dartmouth Golf and Country Club both within a mile. Our guests can enjoy a range of activities, including sailing, walking, and golfing, as well as exploring the surrounding countryside and coastline. We are also close to the coastal path, with stunning views of the coastline from places such as Start Bay lighthouse, Prawle Point, Bolberry Down, and Bolt Head.
