Building a Brighter Future for Every Child
Woodburn Primary School is a Rights Respecting School, having been awarded Unicef's RRSA Level 2, where the articles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child guide and lead both policy and practice. The welfare and education of our children are paramount, and we aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and nurtured, enabling them to gain the most benefit from their primary school years while preparing them for the next levels of education and beyond.
Located on the North-West edge of Carrickfergus, on the Upper Woodburn Road and junction with the Knockagh Road, Woodburn Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive community of learners. With seven classes, one class per year group, we strive to maintain a "family" ethos where all children are known and cared for by all members of staff. Our dedicated and hardworking teachers and classroom assistants deliver the Northern Ireland Curriculum, equipping children with the knowledge and skills necessary for their education and personal development as community and global citizens.
