Our Story
Nyumba, which means 'home' in Swahili, was created to feel like a home-from-home. Our founder, Michael Charalambous, wanted to create an environment where clients could relax and feel at ease. Inspired by his childhood in Africa, the salon interior features exotic decor, including seashells from Zanzibar and statues of Masai warriors. Our goal is to provide a personalized experience, where our clients feel equally at home popping in for a coffee as they do for a blow dry.

Our hair cutting and styling services are tailored to meet your specific needs, with prices starting from 125 for a blow-dry to 750 for a wedding day bridal package. Our beauty services include make-up, hands, feet, and nail care, as well as beauty therapy and holistic therapy. We also offer home visits for those who prefer the comfort of their own home.

Our team is led by Michael Charalambous, a highly experienced hairdresser with over 30 years of experience at the top of his game. His wife, Giulia Zuccaroli, heads up the colour team, having trained in London and Rome. Our team of stylists and therapists are hand-picked by Michael and are experts in their field, ensuring that every client receives the highest level of service.
