Ellies Guest House is a quality Bed & Breakfast situated on West Cliff, ideally positioned for the Blue Flag beach, the Pavilion, harbour, and many more Whitby attractions. Your hosts, Martyn and Paula, are from hospitality backgrounds, ensuring a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. Our smart Victorian building is constantly updated, decorated, and modernized to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
Our Services
At Ellies Guest House, we offer a range of services to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our facilities include free Wi-Fi, breakfast included, and a seating area in each room for your convenience. We also provide luxury toiletries, a well-equipped hospitality tray, and a USB wall charger and razor socket in every room and bathroom. Our guest house has central heating throughout, and parking is available during weekends and school holidays. Additionally, we have a hairdryer in every room, and ironing facilities are available.
Our Rooms
We have six beautifully designed letting bedrooms, each with an en-suite or full bathroom. One of the rooms has a bath plus a walk-in shower. Our rooms are modern and individually designed to a high standard, with a seating area in each room for your convenience. Unfortunately, we don't have a ground floor room, so we're unsuitable for wheelchair users who struggle with stairs. However, we do have a travel cot and a 'z' bed if required, although these will only go in certain rooms.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:15 am in our relaxed, informal dining room. Our breakfasts are cooked to order, and we cater to food allergies and preferences. Our full English breakfast includes bacon, sausage, egg (of your choice), beans, mushrooms, and plum tomatoes. We also offer fish and vegetarian alternatives, and you can add black pudding, fried bread, and hash browns if you're extra hungry! Our breakfast is complimented with fruit, cereals, yogurt, orange juice, toast, and bottomless tea and coffee.
Accommodation and Amenities
The guest house, Ellie's, offers spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished rooms, with modern amenities such as TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, with some even having a luxurious bath.

The guest house is conveniently located, with a 10-minute walk to the harbour and town centre. Parking is available on the street with a permit provided by the hosts. The location is quiet and offers a great view.
