Empowering Care Through Quality Staffing Solutions

Welcome to The Bridge House Hotel, a tranquil riverside retreat beautifully situated on the River Stour. Our family-run hotel is the perfect chance to relax and unwind, surrounded by picturesque scenery and a variety of wildlife. We are nestled in the heart of Dorset countryside, just 5 miles from Bournemouth, Poole, and Wimborne, making us the ideal location for exploring the local area.

Our History

The Bridge House Hotel has a rich history dating back to the 1920s when it was originally a farm owned by the Elliots. Over the years, the hotel has changed hands several times, with each owner leaving their mark on the property. In the 1960s, Telly Savalas, the famous actor, even owned the hotel for a period. Today, we are independently owned and have undergone a 2 million-pound refurbishment, transforming us into the beautiful hotel you see today.

We offer a range of services to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our hotel features 49 fully refurbished en-suite bedrooms, many with stunning views across the river. We also have a Riverside Function Suite, Carvery, Bar & Grill, and a fabulous new Riverside Terrace where you can enjoy a meal or simply relax. Our restaurant serves freshly prepared food, sourced locally, and our chef and his team are quickly gaining an enviable reputation for their culinary skills.

Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family break, or a business trip, we have everything you need to make your stay with us a memorable one. We also cater for weddings, events, and conferences, with our professional wedding planners and events team on hand to ensure your special day is everything you dreamed it would be.

We are perfectly located for exploring the local area, with easy access to Poole, Wimbourne, Sandbanks, and Brownsea Island. Our hotel is also close to Bournemouth International Airport, making us the ideal location for those traveling from further afield.
