Howells Veterinary Services Ltd. is an independent veterinary practice dedicated to providing an excellent standard of care. With twenty Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Veterinary Nurses and experienced support staff behind the scenes, we offer a comprehensive 24 hour service for pets, farm animals and horses.
Our History
Howells Veterinary Services Ltd. (previously H.M.J. & C.M. Howells, Veterinary Surgeons) was established in 2000 by Mark & Christine Howells. We are a very 'mixed' practice, looking after pets, all farm animals and horses. For ten years the surgery was based in Easingwold's Market Place. In 2010 we moved in to our new, purpose built premises on York Road. We now have much more space, including three consulting rooms, a dedicated theatre for sterile surgery and separate rooms for both diagnostic imaging and dental procedures.
Our Services
We have been supporting the farming community for over thirty years and work with farms of all sizes in Yorkshire and well beyond. We specialise in cattle, sheep, commercial pig and poultry and work closely with our clients to provide advice on preventative medicine, health and productivity. Our services also extend to pets, providing a caring, comprehensive and personal service to pets and their owners. We are proud to have been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons since 2005 and regularly undergo re-inspection so you can be sure of continued high standards of care.
Farm Animals
We offer a comprehensive service for farm animals, including cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, and game birds. Our team of experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses work closely with farmers to provide preventative medicine, health and productivity advice. We also supply a wide range of agricultural supplies, including medicines, vaccines, and equipment.
Pets
Our pet department provides a caring, comprehensive and personal service to pets and their owners. We offer a range of services, including health plans, vaccinations, and surgical procedures. Our experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses are dedicated to providing the highest level of care for your beloved pets.
Horses
We offer a complete mobile first opinion service for local horse owners. Our friendly vets take pride in giving a personal service and will visit you for routine and emergency work. Whether you have a large yard or a family pony, we provide a holistic and caring approach to equine management and have excellent relationships with local equine specialists.
Animal Health Supplies
In recent years, we have diversified our business to include a major farm supplies outlet. We have developed a strong reputation as a 'one stop shop' for many farmers who use us for a full range of agricultural supplies, in addition to the usual range of medical products you would expect from your vet.
