Welcome to Howard Court Care Home, a business that has been providing exceptional care to the elderly for over two decades. Our home, situated in the heart of Brampton, is a converted 17th-century coaching inn, which still retains its original charm with its thick stone walls and low oak beams. We take pride in the homely atmosphere that we have created since our inception in 1987.

We are registered to provide accommodation, social, and personal care to up to 28 older people, including those with mental frailty. Our home is located just off the centre of Brampton, a popular market town close to Hadrian's Wall, and approximately 8 miles from Carlisle. We are conveniently situated near all amenities and public transport, making it easy for visitors to come and go.

Our Services

At Howard Court Care Home, we offer a range of services to cater to the varying needs of our residents. Our long-stay residents regard Howard Court as their permanent home. We also offer short-term breaks, including day care, for individuals who live in the community and require short-term places as part of a community care package.

Our dedicated care team of highly qualified and attentive staff provide for the individual needs of our residents. Our staffing levels are above legal requirements set out by the National Care Standards Commission. Our staff have certificates in various courses, including Dementia Care, Moving and Handling, Basic Food Hygiene, Adult Abuse, Fire Training, First Aid, Mental Health Act, and NVQ Level 2, 3 and 4 in Health and Social Care. All new care staff participate in an Induction Training Course within their first month of employment.

We have an experienced Manager at the helm who is registered with CSCI and qualified to NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, plus additional qualifications. We have Senior Care Assistant's all achieved NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and additional qualifications. We employ two cooks, who hold Food Hygiene Certificates.

Respite Care

We provide respite care for individuals who require short-term care while their regular caregivers take a break. Our respite care service ensures that individuals receive the care and support they need while their caregivers can take some time for themselves.

Trial Care

We offer trial care for individuals who are considering long-term care at Howard Court. Our trial care service allows individuals to experience our home and care services before making a long-term commitment.
