The Highfield Preschool in Harpenden is an independent day school for children aged 2 years 2 months to rising 5 year olds, providing excellent, affordable quality childcare with strong Christian values. Our school is located in the beautiful and private grounds of the YWAM Oval in Harpenden. We are affiliated to The King's School, and although priority is given to its pupils for admission to King's, Highfield acts as a feeder school to all primary schools in the local area.

Our caring, loving, mature, and qualified teachers are committed to supporting the children in the four principles of the EYFS. Our team of dedicated and experienced staff are passionate about providing the best possible outcomes for all children attending Highfield Preschool. Our teachers and assistants are qualified and experienced in Early Years education, and many have been with us for several years. They are committed to providing an exciting, hands-on, and fun-filled approach to teaching, and to creating a loving and nurturing environment for our children.
Our Programme
Our programme is designed to support the children in the four principles of the EYFS: A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, and Learning and Development. We provide a stimulating environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Our programme includes a range of activities, including literacy, numeracy, art, music, and physical education, as well as opportunities for outdoor play and exploration.
