Our Mission
Our mission at The Green House is to provide support led by what young people and their families have told us. We aim to build relationships with and between families who have experienced sexual abuse. Our services have a creative arts focus because we believe in the power of creativity in helping families to rebuild their lives after abuse experiences. Research guides everything we do, helping us to understand our service and develop best practice nationally.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to support children, young people, and families affected by sexual abuse. Our services include 1-1 therapy, family support groups, and information for children and young people, parents and carers, and professionals working with children and young people. Our therapy services are led by our experienced team of therapists who are trained in creative arts therapies such as art, drama, and play therapy.
Research and Projects
We are committed to contributing to the learning and development of policy and practice nationally. This includes a number of recent and ongoing projects such as the Bluestar Project, Disrupting the Cycle of Harm, and A Light in the Dark. Our research and projects aim to improve our understanding of the impact of sexual abuse and inform the development of best practice in supporting survivors.
