The Gibsons Photography

The Gibsons photographed our wedding in December, and they were absolutely amazing! We just couldn't recommend them more. They have been in the business for so long that they know the venues inside and out, so they could give great advice on timings through the day to get the best lighting. They worked with us every step of the way to get to know what was important to us, and took pictures that matched our energy as a couple. I am honestly so glad they had our date free, every tagged picture we liked on Instagram was theirs and so we knew we wanted them for our wedding! Truly the nicest, calmest and most professional people. They think of everything to make your day run smoothly, and give you the most stunning pictures.

We used The Gibsons first as our wedding photographers and they were phenomenal- put us so at ease and their ability to capture natural moments was perfect and has given us the most beautiful pictures to treasure. We have continued to use Scott and Chantal for family shoots such as Christmas mini sessions for our two children. Their calm manner has meant we have some incredible, natural pictures of our two children who loved their sessions! Cannot recommend them enough

I recently had a photography session with Scott to capture my surprise engagement, and I couldnt be happier with the experience! From the moment we arrived, (post surprise which was perfect) Scott was welcoming and made us feel completely at ease, especially since we hadnt done a photoshoot like this before.

The planning process was easy and straightforward, which really helped to set everything up perfectly for the surprise. The photos turned out fantastic and we had a lot of options to choose from, featuring various poses and beautiful landscapes. They were available very promptly which meant we should share with friends and family straight away. Scott was also very accommodating, allowing me ample time to plan everything to ensure the surprise went off without a hitch.

I highly recommend for any photography needs the entire process seamless and memorable!

I love asking Chantal and Scott to photograph our small family every year. They took our gorgeous newborn photos and I've asked them to capture special moments every year since. Photos with twins is always chaotic but Chantal always captures such lovely moments. Already looking forward to seeing next years pictures!!

Scott is incredibly talented, kind, and sincere. I reached out to him on fairly short notice as I concocted a surprise proposal photo shoot on the Streets of Edinburgh. As my fiancee and I were travelling, our window for said shoot was fairly small, but Scott's dedication and expertise was not - after we settled on a general area, Scott helped plan and detail the exact location. He arrived ahead of schedule and was in perfect position to capture the moment (even though I may have anxiously rushed the proposal due to nerves). Scott didn't miss a beat. My fiancee and I were both understandably nervous, but Scott immediately put us at ease, guiding us in both action and multiple settings. We quickly felt that we were with an old friend, not just a hired photographer. I cannot say enough about the photos - with only 30 minutes on short notice, Scott directed us in multiple settings with multiple poses in each one - he even politely held back a crowd of tourists to capture the best shots. The photos, which we received much sooner than we expected, are everything we hoped for - natural, honest, and beautiful - I'm not sure if it was the camera he chose or how he developed them, but everyone says they look like they came out of a fairy tale because of how beautifully light and airy they seem. My fiancee and I reside in the states, but for anyone looking to hire an excellent photographer in Edinburgh or Glasgow, we could not recommend Scott any more highly!

Scott and Audrey did the most fantastic job at our daughter's wedding. We just got the photographs back a few days ago and were blown away by how beautiful they were, I have seriously never seen such stunning, authentic pictures from a wedding. I spent more time with Audrey, and she was so easy and fun to work with, but what I realised from looking at all the pictures was that half the time they were both taking pictures, we werent even aware they were there. They made everyone feel relaxed and at ease, and that made the photos so 'real'.

The whole process from booking to the actual wedding day, was wonderful. Communication was excellent, they plan everything well in advance, leaving nothing to chance, which helped take all the worry away on the day of the wedding. They knew exactly what our daughter wanted and they went above and beyond to deliver.

I really can't say enough about Scott and Audrey. They were a fabulous team and I couldnt have asked for more perfect pictures of our beautiful daughter and son-in-law. What a truly wonderful team to work with, so friendly, great value for money. Would recommend without reservation!

I have used The Gibsons twice to photograph my twin daughters. The photos are absolutely stunning. The team are great with communication, we were at ease during the photoshoots.
I will use them again for future milestones.

We have asked Chantal and Scott to come to our home to photograph our family for 6 years now. They are always incredibly warm and friendly, our boys always look forward to seeing them again and its become a favourite yearly tradition. They capture beautiful candids that show us relaxed and at ease, which I treasure as a way to watch our boys grow. Well be asking them to come back for years to come!

From start to finish Scott and Chantal (Gibson Photography) made the whole process so smooth and seamless and dont get us started on the final result of our photoshoot; the pictures were incredible! From the super helpful and quick response emails prior to our session, to their utmost professionalism and making my partner and I feel at ease on the day of our shoot (we were super nervous as wed never had photos taken before). We had The Gibsons as our wedding photographers in November 2024 and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience!
From our first enquiry right up until the day itself, we received prompt responses to all of our questions and regular updates. Unfortunately Scott was unable to act as second shooter on the day, but they organised another fantastic second shooter with no fuss and kept us in the loop to make sure we were comfortable with the change.
We received a highlights reel the day after the wedding and then our full album less than a month later. They captured some incredible moments throughout the whole day, edited to perfection. Throughout the day they made us feel at ease and were incredibly unobtrusive, leading to some wonderful candid pictures of our guests.
We'd absolutely recommend The Gibsons to anyone and if we're ever in need of photographers again they will be our first port of call!

Scott and Chantal have captured photos for our engagement, wedding and most recently a family session with our one year old and we couldnt recommend them more!
Each photo session has been fun and relaxed, they really make you feel at ease in front of the camera. Scott and Chantal even introduced themselves and played with our one year old so she was comfortable when they started taking photos - this really shines through in the final pictures.

Scott came to capture our family on our son's 1st birthday - the photos are so beautiful, they're bright and vibrant and warm, exactly as we wanted to remember a special day for our family. Scott was an absolute star too, even putting up with a grumpy birthday boy who only smiled if he seen Cookie Monster singing to him haha! And all our guests commented on how lovely he was, it felt like he was just another member of the family celebrating with us he put everyone at ease. We had family nervous about having professional photos taken, and they all said after that they didn't feel shy or nervous at all with Scott. Thank you!

We have used the Gibsons for two maternity shoots, a newborn shoot and a Christmas mini shoot. They are amazing at what they do. So calm and welcoming. I dont love getting my picture taken but they both always made us feel relaxed which then shows in the images. Couldnt recommend them enough.

Scott and Chantal have been the most amazing photographers to work with. It's been a few months now since my wedding and still amazed at how stunning our photos are. They are very skilled, talented and professional at what they do. On the day they were very effeicient making sure to capture all the best shots with no delays. They have a very natural, fun approach to their photography. Everyone felt very relaxed to be around them. I've already had guests and family from the wedding asking about their services. Leading up to the day they were helpful and quick to reply to any questions or ideas we had. And even though we never met until the actual wedding day, they just melted in so well and felt comfortable to be around. Neither me or my husband are used to, or comfortable in front of a camera, but they made it feel so natural and easy - which I think shows in the photos. Also, to see them working together as a couple is just so inspiring, especially on your wedding day. Couldnt recommend them enough!!

They were always very responsive, asked great questions to best understand our expectations, they arrived early on our big day, and were really fun to work with. Chantal and Scott's really work as a dynamic duo to maximize the aesthetics of the couple and photos. They are very professional while still making the experience personalized and joyful. The perfect photographers! We spent a lot of time researching our photographers as your photos are such an important way to relive your wedding. From the very beginning Chantal and Scott were fabulous. The communication and planning was very well organised meaning that everything ran smoothly on the day and we didn't have to worry about missing any special shots that we wanted. We could just relax and enjoy our day and trust them to capture all of the special moments. Scott and Chantal were both so warm that, although we had not had the chance to meet them prior to the wedding, they were just like having extra guests! Our couples photo session was one of our favourite parts of the day with lots of love and laughs. The day after the wedding they had edited a selection of pictures that we had access to straight away which was fantastic. We could not be happier with our beautiful wedding photos and can highly recommend The Gibsons to anyone!

Scott and Chantal have provided us with flawless wedding photos. We have the most beautiful shots and I dont feel a moment of our day was missed. They both fitted in to our wedding prep mornings and neither of us felt awkward during our wedding couple session. Contact throughout was great.
