Welcome to The Wharf Caravan Park, a family-run business nestled in the heart of the North Shropshire countryside. Situated next to Bridge 55 of the Shropshire Union Canal, our park has been offering peace and tranquillity in beautiful rural surroundings for over 45 years. We pride ourselves on providing a hidden gem for those seeking a relaxing break, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our park is open all year round, offering an ideal base for exploring local attractions or enjoying leisurely walks along the canal towpaths.
On-site Facilities
The caravan park is equipped with 25 seasonal pitches and 25 touring caravan/motorhome pitches, all with 10amp electric hook-ups. The pitches are primarily hard-standing, with a selection of grass pitches also available, and spaced 6 metres apart to ensure privacy and comfort. Our toilets and showers have 24-hour access, with an enhanced deep daily clean and regular checks throughout the day. We encourage visitors to use their own facilities where possible, to help manage demand and queuing.
Service points on the site include water, waste disposal, refuse, recycling, washing up area, hook-ups, barrier keypad, and gate handles. Dogs are welcome on the caravan park, but we ask that they are kept on a lead and not taken inside the pub. Booking is available via telephone only, with full payment required at the time of booking.
Moorings
Situated on the Shropshire Union Canal next to Bridge 55, we offer quiet linear moorings in a beautiful rural countryside setting. Facilities include water, chemical toilet waste disposal, and refuse bins. For further information, please give us a ring to discuss terms.

Shropshire is renowned for its stunning scenery, with an abundance of opportunities for leisurely walks along the towpath of the Shropshire Union Canal or more energetic walks and cycle rides through the surrounding villages. Coarse fishing is available on the canal towpath, with a local trout fishery located approximately 4 miles away. Hawkstone Park, Hill Valley, and Market Drayton golf courses are all within easy reach.
Market Drayton, home of the Gingerbread, is located approximately 5 miles away and boasts a popular street market every Wednesday, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The picturesque town of Newport is located approximately 7 miles away, with its own unique charm and character.
