Our cottage is situated in the charming village of Rescorla, just a short distance from the historic town of St Austell and its beautiful coastline. The cottage has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect base for exploring the many wonders of Cornwall.
Our Cottage
Rescorla Cottage is a spacious and well-equipped holiday home that can accommodate up to six people. The cottage is tastefully decorated and features two beautifully furnished bedrooms, a comfortable lounge with a wood-burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The cottage also has a lovely bathroom and a spacious garden area, perfect for relaxing with a good book or enjoying a glass of wine.
The Locale
Rescorla village is situated in the beautiful Clay Country, an area known for its stunning natural beauty and rich history. The village is surrounded by rolling hills, picturesque valleys, and the stunning coastline of Cornwall. The cottage is just a short distance from the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the beautiful beaches of the Cornish coast.
Local Amenities
Rescorla village has a range of local amenities, including the Kings Arms pub, which serves delicious food and drinks and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The village also has a local shop and a takeaway fish and chip shop, which serves the most delicious fish and chips. Closer to St Austell, there is a range of shops, restaurants, and pubs to explore.
Golf
For golf enthusiasts, Cornwall has a range of excellent golf courses, including the Championship-standard Carlyon Bay course, the delightful Porthpean course, and the St Austell course. Nick, one of our owners, is a keen golfer and can offer advice and recommendations for the best courses to play.

Booking and Payment
To reserve Rescorla Cottage, a 25% deposit is required, with the balance due six weeks prior to arrival. We accept payments by bank transfer or credit card. We also have a cancellation policy in place, which includes a refund of 100% if cancelled 60 days prior to arrival.
Pets
We welcome dogs at Rescorla Cottage, with a maximum of two dogs per booking. Please bring your dog's own bedding and bowls, and keep them downstairs using the stair gate. We ask that you collect their poo and dispose of it properly. If we find evidence of dogs upstairs or in the garden and have to undertake additional cleaning, a cleaning charge will be applicable.
