At Epping Golf Course, we pride ourselves on offering a unique golfing experience that combines quality, affordability, and a warm welcome to all. Our 18-hole, par 68, 5434-yard parkland course is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities, with undulations, water features, and panoramic views over the Essex countryside. Our greens are renowned for their quality, and we have a wide range of tee positions to suit everyone from scratch golfers to beginners.
Our History
The Epping Golf Course was built as a revival of the original Epping Golf Club, which was patriotically ploughed up at the onset of WWII. Our course is a labour of love, built and designed by golfers for golfers, and owned and run by brothers Neil and Peter Sjoberg and their families. Over the years, we have planted over 17,000 trees and installed 10 new water features, creating a beautiful and challenging course that is a joy to play.
Our Facilities
Our course features a wide range of facilities to enhance your golfing experience. Our short game facilities include a 150-yard covered range, chipping and bunker greens, and a 3-hole, par 3 course. We also have a pay-and-play facility, with membership options available, and buggies are available for hire subject to availability. After your round, you can relax in our clubhouse, where we serve delicious home-cooked breakfast and lunch. We also have a further function room seating 50, available for hire.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to help you improve your game, including free beginner lessons held twice a week, and a weekly timetable of golf lessons. Our World Handicap Scheme is designed to help you track your progress and improve your game.
