Our story began when Salvatore and Asunda Porretta founded their business, making delicious ice cream in the summer and delivering coal in the winter. Their tireless work ethic and commitment to quality have been passed down through generations, with each family member bringing their unique skills and perspectives to the business.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients. These include:

General Haulage: Our fleet of 30 vehicles, ranging from 3.5T to 26T, ensures that we can collect and deliver goods nationwide, whatever the size or shape.
Hiab and Crane Lorry Hire: We have a range of crane lorries and trailers, with a maximum lift capacity of 100t/m, available for hire. Our experienced operators and slinger/signallers ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading.
Mobile Crane Hire: For site-specific projects, we offer mobile crane hire, complete with experienced operators and lift plans.
Site Surveys & Lift Plans: Our team of experienced surveyors and lift planners work together to ensure that crane operations are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
ADR Hazardous Goods: We have the expertise and equipment to handle hazardous goods transportation, adhering strictly to ADR regulations.
Wide and Abnormal Loads: Our fleet can accommodate oversized and heavy loads, ensuring that sensitive or fragile items are transported safely and securely.
Chapter 8 Tracking System: Our HGV-specific tracking software provides real-time updates on vehicle location, ensuring that customers are kept informed and in control.

Managing Director - Steve Porretta

Steve is a highly respected member of the Road Haulage Association and has over 50 years of experience in the industry. He has retained the original business started by his grandfather over 100 years ago and has taken it from strength to strength.

Front Office and Admin Manager - Pru Porretta MBE

Pru is a long-serving director of the company and oversees administrative functions. She is well known in Coventry for her charity work, raising thousands of pounds for charity over the last 40 years fully supported by the company.

Transport and Workshop Manager - Sam Porretta

Sam is the great-grandson of the company's founder and drives forward the company's commitment to higher standards in the fleet through vehicle replacement and upgrades. He has worked with HGVs for over 25 years and loves achieving the highest quality and efficiency for each job.

Account and Marketing Manager - Therese Porretta

Therese is the great-granddaughter of the company's founder and brings her business acumen and marketing expertise to the company.
