Our Nursery and Environment

The Roundabout Day Nursery is divided into two areas using community playroom dividers and a secure gate, allowing for visibility between each area. This setup encourages interaction between siblings and other children, facilitating a smooth transition for our babies as they move up to the larger room. Our philosophy is that the environment serves as the third teacher, following the parent as the first and ourselves as the second.

We offer a variety of activities based on the children's interests and development, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure that all children grow and thrive in every area of learning. Every day, an assortment of activities is set out, including messy activities such as textured body painting, sand play, water play, and cooking for children to enjoy.

The Baby and Toddler Room

In our baby and toddler room, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where our youngest children can explore and grow at their own pace. Our experienced staff work closely with parents to create personalised routines and care plans for each child, ensuring a seamless transition between home and nursery.

The 2 to 5's Room

Our 2 to 5's room is designed to encourage independence and exploration, with carefully planned activities that support each child's development in every area of learning. Children are encouraged to engage in activities that promote problem-solving, creativity, and social skills.
