Argyll Caravan Park is one of Scotland's longest-running caravan parks under the same family ownership. Located on the shores of Loch Fyne, our large site of around 50 acres provides stunning views of the Loch and surrounding countryside. If you love the outdoors and nature, our park is the place for you! With loads of walks that can be done in the park, including a walk along the coast to the historic town of Inveraray or a tranquil walk or cycle along the old military road to the village of Furnace, you'll never be short of things to do.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our touring and motorhomes pitches are designed for drive on, drive off, each pitch faces towards Loch Fyne and has gravel for vehicle and grass at the side for your awning. We have two toilet/shower blocks and a dish washing room, as well as additional parking available for extra cars.
If you're looking for a holiday home in the west coast of Scotland, we have pitches to suit all needs, whether you prefer a loch view or something different like a woodland view. Our park is open all year for holiday home owners, and with our own Skippers Bistro on site, you can enjoy a range of great food and drinks without having to leave the park.
Recreation and Leisure
Our park is rich in wildlife, with Seals, Otters, and Porpoises often seen swimming around the Loch, and Gannets dive-bombing shoals of fish. If you're fortunate, you may even catch a glimpse of a mighty white-tailed eagle soaring through the sky! If you enjoy angling, our park has a lot to offer, with Holiday Home owners able to store their boats within our boatyard and launch from our slipway. Mackerel and Sea trout can be caught from the shore, and there's good fishing along the coastline between the park and Furnace.
History and Heritage
During World War two, our caravan park was used as a base and training area for the allied powers. British, American, and Commonwealth troops would prepare for the famous D-Day landings, which helped to bring the war to an end. There are some small remnants of the old military base which can be seen on the park and surrounding area.
Local Area
Our park is ideally positioned, just 60 miles from Glasgow and only 40 miles from Oban, making it the perfect base or stop-off for visitors exploring the west coast of Scotland and the Islands. With loads of shops, cafes, and restaurants in the nearby town of Inveraray, as well as a golf course and pony trekking available, you'll never be short of things to do.
