Our team, led by Sam and Claire Williams, has a combined experience of almost thirty years in architecture and design. Our Story

The Mount Studio Architects was established in 2014 as a design-led architecture and interiors practice based in Totnes. Our founders, Sam and Claire, met at university and have been passionate about architecture, design, and interiors ever since. With links to architectural education, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of architects, which keeps us energized and enthusiastic about new challenges.

Our Services

We specialize in high-quality, bespoke design projects with a particular emphasis on sustainable and ecological architecture. Our experience includes many domestic and commercial clients over a number of years. Sam, in particular, has a huge range of experience in timber design, having been a partner for five years at Roderick James Architects LLP, one of the leading timber design architects in the UK.

Our core projects have a construction value of between 100,000 to 2,000,000, but we are willing to talk to you about whatever project you have in mind. Whether you're looking to build a new home, extend your existing property, or create a unique commercial space, we'll work closely with you to bring your vision to life. Our services include:
