Our policy excess can be reduced by payment of a waiver fee at the time of booking, and we offer some fantastic deals on daily and long-term car or van hire.

Our Vehicles

We have a vast range of over 180 vans to choose from, including Transits, Lutons, tippers with crew cabs, box vans, and Connect vans. Our van hire services cater to all needs, from small city and run-around town cars, family saloons, estate cars, and hatchbacks to a variety of minibusses for hire in Colchester, with a selection of 9 seater, 14 seater, and 17 seater minibusses. We also have a range of Transit Tipper/Dropside, Double Cab Tipper, 7.5 Ton dropside, and 7.5 Ton box with tail lifts available in Colchester.

Our vehicles are maintained to the highest of standards, and all hire agreements include registered breakdown service with either the AA or RAC. Sack Barrows are available for daily, weekly, or long-term hire, while roof racks can be fitted to some vehicles at an additional cost. We also offer windscreen cover for all our vehicles at an extra cost. Additional requirements, such as excess reduction, additional driver, delivery, and collection, will be charged at the time of rental and may not appear on online quotations.

Hiring a Vehicle

Hiring a vehicle with JD Robertson & Co. is easy and straightforward. A day (days) hire can start any time from 8:30 am but must end by 8:30 am the following day (days) or start at 4 pm and end at 4 pm the following day (days) Monday to Wednesday pm only. Hires starting Saturday pm or Sunday please contact our Office. Daily van & car hire is available from 8:30 am until 8:30 am six days a week, or from 4 pm until 4 pm Monday to Wednesday only. Half-day van hire is available for vans only, from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm or from 3:30 pm - 8:30 am Monday to Thursday only. Unfortunately, none of our vehicles can be taken abroad.

Payment

All payments will be required on collection of the vehicle. We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro, or Solo card. However, we do not accept American Express or top-up cards, and we do not accept cash payments. Our office hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and on Saturday from 8:30 am - 11:00 am. We are closed on Sundays.
