Beccles Indoor Bowls Club is a long-standing members club, established in 1973, situated in the charming market town of Beccles, Suffolk. Our club is conveniently located just 18 miles south of Norwich, making us accessible to a wide range of members and visitors. We take great pride in being a 4 rink club that operates throughout the indoor season, from September to April, seven days a week from 10.00 am to 10.30 pm. In addition, we also have a summer bowls season from May to September, with the timings confirmed annually in April.
Our club is a warm and welcoming community that values inclusivity, accessibility, and security. Our Services
At Beccles Indoor Bowls Club, we offer a range of services designed to cater to all levels of experience and preferences. We have men's leagues, ladies leagues, and mixed leagues, providing ample opportunities for members to engage in competitive play. We also set aside time for casual bowlers who may not want to partake in league games, allowing them to enjoy the sport at their own pace.
We actively encourage our members to enter county and national competitions. Our club has a rich history of success, with numerous county champions men and ladies, as well as national champions in both individual and club categories. It is a testament to our commitment to fostering talent and promoting the sport of bowls.
Our club is proud to have a thriving junior section that operates from September to April. We are delighted to have brought four of our players through the junior ranks who have gone on to play for England at Under 18 and Under 25 level. We believe in the power of nurturing young talent and providing them with a supportive and empowering environment in which to grow and develop their skills.
In addition to our bowls activities, we also provide a comfortable and welcoming social environment. We have a range of social events that cater to all tastes and preferences, allowing members to unwind and connect with one another. We have a strict no dogs policy, except for licensed assistance dogs, ensuring that all members and visitors can enjoy the club in a safe and comfortable environment.
