Otford Nursery - Quality Child Care in Otford
At Otford Nursery, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where every child can achieve their full potential through play-based learning. Our team believes in creating a safe, stimulating atmosphere that fosters personal, social, emotional, and academic growth. By following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, we tailor our approach to meet each child's unique needs while using innovative tools like the Tapestry app to track development and maintain transparent communication with parents. With an enclosed garden and weather-adapted outdoor spaces, we ensure year-round engagement.

Our commitment to collaboration with families and Otford Primary School enables seamless transitions for children aged 2-11. Recognising the importance of trust in early education, we work closely with parents to ease separation anxiety and establish strategies that prioritise the child's comfort. Our Ofsted-registered provision (EY475278) combines structured learning with flexible funding options, including government-supported hours, to accommodate diverse family needs.

Early Years Education
Our EYFS-compliant programme delivers structured play-based learning for children aged 2-5. Through observation and digital tracking via Tapestry app, we personalise development pathways while maintaining statutory requirements. Outdoor spaces facilitate physical development regardless of weather conditions.
After-School Care
Oasis After School Club provides supervised care for children aged 3-11 from 3:10pm-6pm. With dedicated spaces for different key stages and shared outdoor access, we offer structured activities and flexible collection times with two pricing tiers for session duration.
Curriculum Development
We implement the EYFS curriculum with continuous progress monitoring through Development Matters guidelines. Our approach combines formal assessments with informal play-based learning, ensuring children develop foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction through engaging activities.
Parental Involvement
We prioritise transparent communication through Tapestry app updates and regular meetings. Our transition programme supports parental separation anxiety, while termly invoicing and flexible funding options help families manage childcare costs effectively.
Nut-Free Environment
Our nut-free policy ensures safety for children with allergies. We enforce strict lunchbox guidelines prohibiting chocolate and nuts, maintaining a secure environment through staff training and clear parental communication about dietary restrictions.
